The Promises of God
Introduction:
The Scripture is filled with the promises of God. (II
Peter 1:2-4)
The child of God can go to God’s Word whenever and find peace,
comfort, and joy from these promises. Let’s examine some of these
now.

The Righteous Are Blessed

Surrounded with favor (Psalm

Has a refuge (Proverbs

A place of safety (Proverbs

II.
God’s Dwelling Place
·
Tell Jehovah your desire. (Psalm
27:4-5)

A secret place for the falsely accused (Psalm
31:17-20)
·
God’s eternal dwelling place (Psalm
90:1-2)
·
Lovely (Psalm
84:1-4)
III.
God Is Our Refuge
·
Jehovah knows those who need His help. (Nahum
1:7)
·
God is always there to help. (Psalm
46:1)
·
There is no one like Jehovah. (Deuteronomy
33:26-27)
IV.
God Is Our Shield
·
No need to fear (Genesis
15:1)
·
A shield and a sword (Deuteronomy
33:29)
·
Thank the Lord (Psalm
28:7-8)
·
Need to walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11)
V.
God Is Our Fortress
·
He is our Savior. (II
Samuel 22:1-4)
·
He is our stronghold. (Psalm
46:2-7)
·
He is our rock. (Psalm
61:1-2)
